北米のラジオサービスSiriusXMのチャンネル『Heart & Soul』にてRobert GlasperによるTears for Fearsのカバーで「Everybody Wants to Rule the World」のスタジオライブ動画。
誰しもが聞いたことあるであろうあの名曲のカバーやけど、これはなかなかの名演。
このカバーは彼のアルバム『Black Radio III』に収録されてるんやけど、このライブにも参加してるLalah Hathawayとのセッションに、向かう途中のラジオからこの曲が流れてるのをきいてアルバムに入れることを決めたらしい。しかも録音もワンテイク。
それもあってか彼らしいアレンジですんなり耳から染み渡ってきます。
こういう閃きとかの直感ってのは案外素晴らしい結果を残すと思ってるんやけど、これは単なる思いつきって訳ではなく、ここに至るまでのその人の積み重ねてきたものが一瞬で形作られるとても動物的なセンスなんやろな。
